According to Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã, “the derailment of two ‘carriages’ caused only material damage.  There were no injuries caused to the 30 people inside the train.”

According to a source from Infraestruturas de Portugal, at 08:22 this morning, “after the repair of the track in the derailment area, train circulation was re-established.”

The same source told journalists that a speed limit of 30 km/hour is in place for crossing that location (between kilometres 352.9 and 353.3 of the line).
